Israel Independence Day - source from the Tora
In 1984 when I, Rabbi Michael Dushinsky (in 2020 - in Prague), served as a Community-Rabbi, Head of Yeshivah and Member of The Beit-Din (Rabbinic Court) in Cape Town, South Africa, I was granted with a great light: The Day of Independence of The Holy State of Israel - is indeed clearly w r i t t e n within the text of the Torah, in the “Four Ways” of “PaRDeS”: the “Pshat” [=the simple reading], the “Remez” [=what is ‘hinted’ behind the simple reading], the “Drush” [the homiletical widening of the text] and the “Sod” [=the ‘secret’ meaning, ‘above’ and\or ‘under’ the simple reading of the text]!
In the very fact of the reconstituting of “The State of the Jews”, and in its successful existence, Baruch Hashem!, praised be God!, we are rising from the dust, waking up from the desolation, and returning to the days between Pesach and Shavuot their original light and joy. And as we have gained to the “ Beginning of the Redemption”, “’Atchalta diGe’ula”, so shall we soon be privileged with the Complete Redemption, Amen! and in its successful existence, Baruch Hashem!, praised be God!, we are rising from the dust, waking up from the desolation, and returning to the days between Pesach and Shavuot their original light and joy. And as we have gained to the Deredemption chamber, we will soon be in complete redemption, Amen!
